BHOA Meeting Minutes
May 2010
Meeting started: 3:05 p.m.
Those Present: Cherryl Cox, Don Mallonee, James Barnes, Steve Slack, and Jennifer Stiles. Mike Welty was late and Todd Hawkins not present.
President
- Newsletter article needed for arch committee, rentals—commons article for commons issues—pool keys, etc.
- Rental letter went to Schmidts (2737 Keith Court) regarding the rental of their house and complaints from neighbors regarding the property.
Secretary
- Monday, June 21st next meeting 8:00 p.m.
- Email votes passed on the irrigation repair and for tree removal on the south lake. Both projects were approved and are in process.
Treasurer
- Taxes were taken care of and will be filed.
- Mike inquired about stationery that can be used by the accountant for official business for BHOA. Mike, Cherryl and Jennifer to follow up on.
Collections
- Hickman’s did show up in court and agreed to a payment plan ($147.69 per month late fees and penalties were removed).
- Heinke payment plan was submitted for $50 per month and pay their regular dues on time (would take until Nov 2011). Mike made the motion to approve the payment plan, James seconded the motion, and the motion was approved (6-0).
- Mike made a motion to ask Rodney to take Brian and Patricia Hitchcock (2639 N Keith) family to court wherever they are in the process so that BHOA can begin collecting money. Mike motioned, Steve seconded, and motion approved (6-0). Cost to Rodney not to exceed $200.
Commons
- Work day took place yesterday – weeding around pool, tree limbs, etc. 17 people showed up and worked during work day.
- Discussed some issues regarding Superior and the grass near 29th and communication and response still issue with Superior.
- CHERRYL AND MIKE to talk regarding ordering of new pool keys and retrieving key from Suburban.
- Mike made a motion to pay Todd Hawkins $30 for work day coordinator, Cherryl seconded the meeting, and the motion passed (6-0).
Arch Committee
- Arch committee recommended not getting a pergola for the pool area.
- Dan East agreed to lead the arch committee for the short haul until a chair can be appointed.
- House on Bellwood with a dirt pile on the driveway—DAN EAST to contact city.
- Board discussed house on Meadow Knoll with pool filled in with dirt and rock.
Pool Committee
- Chad has not responded regarding pool paint and pool padlock is missing.
- STEVE TO TAKE CARE of purchasing new lock and chain for pool gate.
- Pool and pop machine both in process of being taken care of.
- MIKE TO TAKE CARE of purchasing another set of pool keys at his discretion (not to exceed $300). Cherry made the motion, Don seconded the motion and the motion passed (6-0).
- Pool to open Friday, May 21st.
New Business:
- STEVE TO TAKE CARE of contacting Culver’s fish farm.
