Bradford HOA Meeting Minutes
May Meeting – May 4, 2008

Meeting Began:  5:52 p.m.

Those Present:  Cherryl Cox, Don Mallonee, & Mike Welty.  Not Present:  Rick Gibson, Diane Hundley, Steve Slack, & Monty Sowder.

President: 

• Since the last meeting the board voted via email to take Kevan Guinn (9502 W. Ryan Ct.) to Small Claims Court for delinquent dues   Mike made the motion, Monty seconded the motion and the vote passed.
• Mike moved to accept the newsletter and website guidelines (see website for guidelines) written by Cherryl Cox, Don seconded the motion and the vote passed.
• Mike made the motion to appoint Jennifer Stiles (9005 W. Meadow Knoll Ct.) the new Recreation Chair with compensation of $10/documented hour not to exceed $120/year, Cherryl seconded the motion and the vote passed.

Treasurer:  No Report

Collections: 

• 53 email addresses were surveyed about paying dues on the website.  17 responded in favor of having the option, while 3 said they would not pay that way.  A vote on this issue was tabled until the June meeting.

Commons: No Report

Architectural: 

• There is a portable chain link fence leaning against the house at 9505 W. Ryan.
• Chris Florio provided Diane with a bid of $3500 to make height changes to the common wall behind his house (2930 N. Keith Ct.).  Diane was not at the meeting but provided beforehand that Chris was going to provide us a bid for putting wrought iron on the wall.  The Board would like all future plans regarding the wall to go through the Board.
• Cherryl reported that she spoke with Stutzman’s (trash service) about their prices for service.  They have a flat rate of $19/month and would not consider giving us their city rate of $16/month at this time.  Our current rate is just over 15/month including a fuel charge.

Pool Committee: 

• MONTY TO FOLLOW UP on telephone set up, removing concrete forms around the pool and helping DON get the gate closer fixed.
• CHERRYL TO FOLLOW UP on setting up the pop machine, checking with Aquasizers if they repaint the No Diving and Depth marks around pool.
• Cherryl moved to order a new message board for $159.95, Don seconded and the vote passed 2-1.
• Cherryl moved to order signs needed around the pool not to exceed $100, Mike seconded and the vote passed 3-0.
• DON TO FOLLOW UP on having the fire extinguisher checked.
• Aquasizers has replaced the pool liner in the sport pool and added another drain in that pool.

NEW BUSINESS: 

• MONTY TO FOLLOW UP with homeowner Ness(?) about landscaping around the pool.
• The Bradford Bash has not been voted on for this year but a tentative date of August 2nd 2008 has been discussed.
