Bradford HOA Meeting Minutes
March 2008 Meeting – March 9, 2008
Meeting Began: 6:52 p.m.
Those Present: Cherryl Cox, Steve Slack, Rick Gibson, Don Mallonee. Monty Sowder, Diane Hundley, and Mike Welty not present.
President:
- Cherryl updated board regarding Patrick Lucas’ employment and letter received from Home Depot. The HOA has not received any garnishment payments since January. Cherryl will follow up with a letter to Patrick and will contact Home Depot if necessary
- Cherryl also asked about advertizing on the web site. STEVE TO FOLLOW UP and contact Mike regarding how difficult it is to place advertising on the BHOA web page. Board discussed pros and cons of advertizing on the web page in general. Decision tabled on web page advertizing until April meeting to gather further input and information from other board members.
Secretary:
- STEVE TO FOLLOW UP with community policing officer and Diane regarding Bradford street signs and getting the missing ones replaced—Steve did contact community officer in February but has heard nothing recently.
Treasurer:
- Rick brought a treasurer’s report.
Collections:
- No report.
Commons:
- Work day is April 26th.
- Subdivision wall will be repainted. Cherryl made a motion to repaint the walls “Useful Gray,” Don seconded, and the motion passed unanimously (4-0). CHERRYL AND MONTY TO FOLLOW UP regarding scheduling the painting and contacting the affected neighbors.
- Don made a motion authorizing Monty to negotiate with affected neighbors along the wall (up to a $10 optional credit) per homeowner, Cherryl seconded, and motion passed unanimously (4-0).
- Monty made a motion (in absentia) to extend the southeast corner of the concrete pool deck with an estimated cost of $4,350. Rick seconded the motion and the motion passed unanimously (4-0).
Arch Committee:
- No arch report.
- DIANE TO FOLLOW UP with letter to 9505 Ryan Court regarding removal of chain link dog kennel.
Pool Committee:
- Don and Monty working together to repair pool gate closer mechanism. Cherryl moved that Don be authorized to repair the pool gate at cost of $300 or less. Rick seconded the motion and the motion passed unanimously.
- Pool liner for the sport pool will be replaced before the pool opening
- Cherryl also presented the new pool contract from Aquasizers. Cherryl made a motion to include the “SeaKlear” risk program (preventing recreational water illness) from Aquasizers for the pool this season. Steve seconded the motion and the motion passed unanimously (4-0).
New Business:
- It is the time of year to order fish for ponds
- Cherryl is working to try and find the Yasoweak’s mailing address
- Rick and Cherryl working to finish up spring newsletter.
- Cherryl received a summons regarding bankruptcy for 2902 N. Keith Court.
- Pool opening date will be Friday, May 23, 2008 and closing date will be Sunday, September 7, 2008.
