Patriots Parade July 4

The Patriots Parade will be on July 4th starting at 10:00 a.m. Please meet at the Tyler & Meadow Knoll entrance and decorate yourself, your bike or maybe even your wagon and show your patriotic spirit. We will parade to the pool and have popsicles and prize drawings for the kids. If you have any questions please contact Jennifer Stiles at recreation@bradfordha.org.

Swimming Pool

The pool is now open and is for Bradford families. We need to work together to keep it clean and safe. Here is a reminder of some of the important pool rules.

  • The pool is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. If you fail to leave the pool by 10 p.m., the door will lock you in and you will have to call and have someone let you out.
  • There will be no lifeguard on duty. Persons using the pool and pool area do so at their own risk. City code requires that "Children Less Than 16 Years Old Shall Not Use Pool without an Adult in Attendance." (Ord. No. 41-146 § 7). Failure to comply with this rule will result in immediate suspension of pool access for 15 days. Unattended swimming puts the insurance policy of the Association at risk.
  • The following shall not be permitted: disorderly conduct, including running and rough-housing; glass items; alcoholic beverages; jeans or cutoffs; pets in the pool area; profane or abusive language and swimming in the pool before or after posted hours.
  • Each homeowner is given one key, however those homeowners who owe dues do not have an active key. Please do not use your key to allow anyone access to the pool. Replacement keys cost $20. Call Don Mallonee at 722-1962 to arrange a replacement. Recording and activating your key will take some time, so please don’t wait until you need the key to request it.

PAY DUES ONLINE

In the past, in order to pay your Association dues you were asked to mail in your check or money order. While this will continue to be an option, the board has decided to offer an additional option. That new option is online and now allows you to pay using your credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express) or your PayPal account.

To pay online, go to our website www.bradfordha.org and select the link on the right side of the page titled “Pay Dues Online”. When you click on the “Pay Now” button you will be taken to the page where you will enter the amount you want to pay (usually $125 or the amount listed on your invoice).

If you wish to pay via your PayPal account there is a PayPal box where you can login. If you wish to pay via your credit card select “Continue” on the left side of the page after the question “Don’t have a PayPal account?” Either link you use will ask you to enter your shipping information. This is your home address in Bradford and will help us to make sure that your payment is credited to the correct account.

This is just one more option to paying your dues. You are still welcome to send your check to Bradford HOA, P.O. Box 12187, Wichita, KS 67277-2187. Thanks for your prompt payments!

Lakes and Commons

Taking care of the lakes and commons takes a lot of work and not just from the landscaping/mowing company. Below are some tips for keeping our lakes clean and can also help with common areas.

1. Pick up after your pets.
2. Use commercial car washes. They are more efficient and have mud traps that catch oil and sediment.
3. Maintain your vehicles so that there are no leaks of automotive fluids such as oil, antifreeze and fuels.
4. When working on the lawn or in the garden:
a. Follow the label directions on insecticides and herbicides very carefully.
b. Use compost and natural fertilizers and alternative pesticides when you can.
c. Use slow release fertilizers
d. Pull weeds by hand as an alternative to chemicals.
e. Don’t apply products if rain is predicted.

Pet waste has recently been a complaint in several areas around the neighborhood. There are common areas between neighborhoods where people are allowing their pets to run free and not picking up after them. These areas are used by children and families to play. Please be courteous and clean up after all pets.

The entrances have also seen a lot of trash and debris that needs to be picked up. Cleaning up these areas is everyone’s responsibility. Help keep Bradford Beautiful!
